Certification)
1 High School Math Teacher (EX
Certification)
1 High School Science Teacher (DI
or DX – depending on Certification date)
SUMMARY
Provide instruction and mentoring
to students in an Alternative High School setting. The
program services approximately 125-140 students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
with current appropriate certifications (Highly
Qualified) for the positions listed above
- Multiple or Dual
Certifications desirable
- Teaching experience
- Alternative education
teaching experience preferred – working with at-risk
youth
- Knowledge of ACT/MME,
High School Reform, AYP, and drop out/graduation
requirements
- Nova Net Knowledge/Experience
preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide instruction
and mentoring to students in an alternative high
school setting
- Prepare lesson
plans and develop curriculum – Work on School Improvement
Team
- Documentation
and paperwork including, but not limited to, report
cards, attendance, progress reports
- Develop and maintain
parent relationships through email, letters, phone,
and in person
- Work cooperatively
as a team member with co-workers, administration,
parents, and community
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- $32,500+ per year
depending on experience and qualifications
- Approximately
187 Work Days
- Daytime-School
Year
- Medical, Dental,
Optical, Life Insurance, LTD for employee (family
coverage negotiable)
- Paid Sick/Personal
Days and Paid Holidays
- Probationary Period
