Early Childhood Development

Many MACAE member organizations run high-quality programs for early-childhood students and their families.  MACAE supports the needs of these programs through professional development and resource sharing opportunities.

MACAE 2005 Legislative Platform - Early Childhood Education

Support before and after-school programs for students in grades 1-8 through school-based community education programs.

Support school-based child care centers - currently a valuable means for parents to receive safe, educational child care services.  MACAE believes that many of the new child care licensing rules proposed by the FIA would place undue financial hardship on child care centers and result in child care fees beyond the financial means of many parents.

Support funding for universal preschool programs.
