Overview:
This training will provide participants with the opportunity
to learn about CASAS - a curriculum management and
assessment system- and to participate in a daylong
workshop. CASAS requires that at least one individual
from a local adult education/ literacy program be
trained by a certified CASAS trainer in order to
purchase and use CASAS materials. Participation in
this training will enable local programs that have
not already attended CASAS Implementation Training
(IT) to meet that requirement.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
- Place learners in appropriate educational program
levels
- Assess learning gains and link assessment to
curriculum and instruction
- Certify attainment of learner
and program goals
- Select and use appropriate CASAS
assessment instruments
- Interpret assessment results
to target instruction and evaluate learning gains
